In the waning days of 2009, we thought up the 2010 Homo Promo. Back then, the catchphrase just made us laugh. But it quickly became our most popular promotion ever! Our clients loved it and our website traffic increased by more than 400% in 2010 alone.
The Home Promo is simple. Unlike married partners, all registered domestic partners are required to prepare an extra federal tax return in order to file their Oregon tax return. In our small way, we try to create greater equality by giving registered domestic partners this extra return for free. Rainbow Tax & Accounting is proud to continue the Homo Promo for its fifth fabulous year.
New for 2014…we are giving our clients the option of paying their tax preparation fees in full and we will donate your “Homo Promo” discount to one of the many fine 501 (c) (3) organizations that support our community!
The federal filing extended deadline for 2013 individual tax returns is October 15, 2014.

If you still need to file your tax return, probably your best bet is to file for an extension and get more time to file. Getting a six month extension is free and easy. See this IRS website for more details.
But remember: this is “an extension of time to file, not an extension of time to pay.”
